Private Dance Lessons

Are group dance lessons too overwhelming? Do you thrive best working 1-on-1 compared to more general instructions? If that’s the case, private lessons may be the best option for you!

Take advantage of Luis’ 12 years of dance experience; national and international training/teaching; and music performance background!

Private lessons are a great way to solidify foundations, sharpen up and/or fix previous skills, and have all the attention focused on your success. Although most students choose to work on social Latin dance skills, there are some that focus exclusively on musical foundations and understanding.

Each session is 1 hour long and will take place at Luis’ home dance studio (NOT Kanopy Dance Studio), which features hardwood floors, large mirror, and plenty of Afro-Latin percussion on hand. This means no additional costs will be required to rent out studio space. Private lessons include instruction for up to 2 students. We recommend the following schedule based on your goals:

-1 class per week: For students that have a practice partner(s) and attend social dancing events at least once or twice a week.

-1 class every other week: For students that do not have regular access to practice partners and only attend social dancing events sporadically.

A single private lesson is $100
A 4-class pass of privates is $350

Students who have taken/are taking a monthly group lessons course will be able to apply their “10% off” returning student discount code to these private lessons.
